A New Hire with A Good Attitude

Burdine & Brown Feb. 19, 2020

About two weeks ago I began interviewing for another paralegal for my law office. I have been quite worried that I will not be able to find a person with a soft heart and who exhibits grace and mercy. It is my fervent desire to find such a person, to continue the wonderful tradition of my current staff who does exhibit these qualities. I want my potential and active clients to be able to call in to my office and “feel” positive and welcoming energy from whosoever is on the other end of the call.

I just read a short article by Richard Jacobs, a legal marketing strategist, who spoke about how the first call to a law office can throw cold water on the best marketing plan of that office. Why is that so? It is probably due to a lack of quality training or the failure of the owner of the firm to care or take an active interest in how the staff treats the potential and current clients.

There is a lot of competition out there in the legal market. Potential customers look for the slightest thing to “put them off” and to move to another website or to another telephone call to initiate contact with their potential new lawyer. This is why it is so important to treat each new caller with respect and with politeness. I know the capabilities of my law firm are formidable because of many success stories. But I will never be able to demonstrate our abilities if that first call from a potential client turns the caller “off” with negativity and a poor attitude.

Do wish me the best and call my office in a month and see for yourself how we did! I just hired Annette. We love her. Check out the reviews that we have from happy and satisfied clients.
